It was clear Lipstick was the only potential winner for the contest this year. Four other candidates took part and Jedward won fairly and squarely from the judges and the people's votes. Ireland had jury and viewer votes to find the choice for this year. Some other countries are presented with a fait accompli and have no sense of selecting a candidate outside a small group of people in a bordroom.
